2014 was an interesting year that started off with teaching a basic firefighting class in Blandford, MA. By June I had been offered the position of part-time fire chief leading a group of very dedicated small town volunteers. There were a lot of challenges with a recent falling out between the members and town boards, there was a strong need for equipment and training updates and so much more. This was supposed to be for just a year or so, it turned into a six year run. It was also when I started seriously started dating my wife, Michelle. Both of these adventures lead to a lot less fire buffing, but still plenty of photography. I learned a lot...made some mistakes, and some progress!
